He was walking down the street when she came over to him and handed him a piece of paper.
But, you need to know what happens before this...
The alarm clock buzzing at seven in the morning, Gerald woke up and slammed the snooze button with his right hand. He took off his blanket, rubbing his eyes, he sat up and put his slippers on. " Why did the summer go so fast. " He walked into the bathroom and did his business. Walking downstairs, fully clothed, Gerald, tripped on one stair and fell all the way down. He wasn't injured nor did he feel hurt. Avoiding breakfast, Gerald walked to school. On his way a friend of his noticed him walking all alone at seven thirty. She decided to walk up to him and spook him while she was at it. " Hey, Katelynn. " Gerald said, she had startled him. " What's up? " She asked. He responded and they talked to each other while walking to school. When they got to the school, Gerald opened the door for Katelynn and they didn't see each other until the end of the day. During class, Gerald was called to the office for cursing a teacher out. He got three days of detention. Later that day, Gerald was standing by Katelynn's locker waiting for her. A few minutes of just standing there, crossing his arms, she finally arrived. Opening her locker, a piece of folded paper fell out. " What's this? " She said unfolding the paper. It read, Do you wanna go out sometime? Check either of the boxes. She looked to where Gerald was standing, he wasn't there. There was another paper in the spot of where he was standing. When you are ready to give me your response, come to spot where we first met. - Gerald. She checked a box and walked to the spot where they first met. He was there, waiting. Katelynn was really nervous and she didn't walk up to him and just watched him from a distance. " It's been three hours, it's raining, and it's getting darker every minute. " Gerald said as he started to walk away. She noticed that he was walking away and she ran towards him keeping the paper in her pocket. She finally caught up with Gerald and handed him the piece of paper. He opened it. The 'No' box was checked off. There was a note on the bottom of the paper. I chose no because I didn't want our friendship to go to waste and don't be sad. I do like you in the same way, but... The rest was unreadable. She hugged him said, I love you, turned away and ran the other direction. Gerald, alone in the rain, was standing there trying to think of a way to get her to say yes. He stopped thinking and started to walk home. The next morning, a Saturday, his alarm clock went off at the same time as the day before. He repeated everything he did. He went to her apartment and knocked on the door three times. No answer. He waited for a response, trying again every ten minutes. Nothing. He went to the lobby and saw her exiting the building. " Katie! " He shouted, running after her. " Gerald, I'm moving. " She said as she slammed the car door in front of him. The window slid down and she said, " Hey, Gerald. I hope you don't hate me for this, but I fucking hate you and I didn't mean anything that I said yesterday. " The window closed and the mid-sized sedan rolled away. Gerald, standing there in shock, began to tear. Then he started to cry. He put his hands in his pocket and walked back in the apartment building. Gerald, years later, always thought about her and never once hated her. He still loved her.Note: I hope you enjoyed my little story. I changed it up a bit this time. I wrote about one thing that happened in the past. But, for privacy, I've changed my name and the girls name and tweaked some things to make it a little bit more interesting. Again, I hope you enjoyed it.
*This has happened before, so I decided to tell you guys/girls that you CANNOT take any part of this and say that you wrote it. It's my work. Please, don't steal.*
